Pressbox Renovation
complete. The pressbox renovation project
in George S. Johnson Stadium is complete. New exterior
siding, a new roof, field-side awning and first-class
interior enhancements such as carpet, paint, pictures,
hospitality counters, lighting, etc. have all been made
possible through memorial gifts honoring the late Mrs.
Eleanor Johnson. Mrs. Johnson passed away in the spring of
2004, and her family wished to honor her memory by
renovating the pressbox in the stadium she loved so dearly. Mrs. Saynor Ponder and Mrs. Dallis Jones brought the project
to FPD Headmaster, Gregg Thompson, in the spring of 2005,
and all work began in June. |
