Katie Maddox threw a no-hitter in Game 1 as the Vikings scored early in both games of the twinbill…..In Game 2 Hannah Billingsley scattered 3 hits to gain the win for the Lady Vikings. Both Maddox and Billingsley now each have 10 wins on the season as the Vikings enter the Final Four for the second time in the last 3 years.

In both games the Vikings defense was flawless . Tori Maddox had 3 hits in Game 2 and several other Vikings had key hits . Hannah Billingsley’s 2-out double scored 2 runners in Game one. In game 2 the Vikings capitalized on miscues en route to six first inning runs.

The Vikings will play John Milledge in Game one of the Double Elimination tourney.

 
 
The Lady Vikings defeated Stratford 6-4 to win Region 2-AAA and secure a #1 seed in the State Tournament. Way to go Lady Vikings
 
 
The Lady Vikings defeated Tattnall 3-1 on Tuesday in a crucial Region 2-AAA contest. Hannah Billingsley improved to 7-3 and A.K. Wright hit a double for the victory.
 
FPD sweeps Trinity in 2 hard-fought defensive games interspersed with offensive outbursts.
In Game #1 at Trinity on Monday,August 7th, Morgan Johnson had 2 RBI on a Double to the Gap to break open a scoreless battle in the 6th.
Katie Maddox and Hannah Billingsley split the contest , pitching a combined two-hitter ,with Maddox getting the win.
 
In Game # 2 at FPD on Tuesday, August 8th, FPD had seven hits ,with Morgan Johnson going 3-3 with a HOMERUN and 2RBI.
 
Billingsley and Maddox again split the contest, giving up 3 hits , with Billingsley getting the win.
Great Defense by the Vikings dominated both contests as both sides of the Infield and Outfield made several key plays . Molly Smith hasd several blocks of balls with runners at third and actually threw out 2 runners in key situations to quell rallies by Trinity, a formidable foe.
 
FPD plays on the ROAD this Thursday, August 10th at Southland in Americus. For those of you reading this---you can call the Front Office for Directions or visit Southland's website for Directions to the JV game which begins at 4:00 or the Varsity game whih begins at 5:30 PM.
 
The Lady Vikings are 2-0 on the young season and are seeking improvement each game.
FPD Fastpitch won their third game in a row on Thursday as they won at Southland,13-4.
The Leaders offensively were Hannah Crawford with 5 RBI and 2 doubles and A.K. Wright who went 4-5.Both Katie Maddox and Hannah Billingsley performed admirably in the circle , giving up only one hit.
 
FPD plays in the Freedom Park Tournament ,beginning this Saturday with games at 2:30 and 4:15 and the again on Monday at 4:15 vs. Westfield.
